Ph.D., ALMFT
Dr. Erin Fisher brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her therapy practice. Holding a Master’s in Educational Psychology, a Post-Master’s Certificate in Marriage & Family Therapy, and a PhD in Psychology, she has spent nearly three decades as a Psychology professor at Rock Valley College. Now, she’s expanding her impact by offering therapy, combining academic expertise with compassionate, client-centered care.
With a strong foundation in the neuroscience of trauma, Erin also specializes in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, and the complexities of marriage and family life. She integrates approaches from narrative therapy, emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients reshape their stories and build meaningful lives. Currently, she is furthering her expertise by pursuing certification in Neuropsychotherapy.
Outside of her practice, Erin is the proud mom of an adult daughter and the dedicated caretaker of two rambunctious dogs and one delightfully chaotic cat. She looks forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing and growth.
