They say I have “human eyes,” and I certainly use them to my advantage. After ten years on the job, I’ve become an expert at spotting everyone’s “tell.” I can see that moment when a thought or emotion is just about to break the surface, and I’ll meet you there with one meaningful, steady look to let you know you’re not alone.

Of course, I use that same soulful stare for other things, too—mostly to see if you’re planning on sharing whatever snack you brought with you.

A few fun facts about me:

• TV Critic: I have a sixth sense for when a dog is about to appear on a television screen. I consider it my duty to bark a firm warning before they even show their face.

• The Lookout: When I’m not in a session, you can find me perched in my favorite bay window, keeping a watchful eye on the world outside.

• The Professional: I take my legacy seriously, but I’m never too old to learn a new “tell” or offer a comforting presence to someone who needs it.
