Laura Mullikin

MSW, LCSW

Laura has a passion for working with individuals and couples, in all walks of life. From navigating feelings of anxiety or depression, grief or additional mental health issues, Laura’s goal is to help clients develop new coping mechanisms to change their lives for the better. She is also passionate about encouraging clients to live self-compassionate lives, whether through life transitions and troubles, or those struggling with body image/diet culture concerns.

Laura caters her approach to each individual or couple’s needs. Some of the modalities used are Emotion Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Self-Compassion (K. Neff). Laura’s goal is to meet individuals and couples where they are at, and assist to pave a way forward.

Laura holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Aurora University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Laura lives at home with her husband, Joe, two daughters, and two furry friends. Laura loves to read, run and spend time with friends and family.
