Megan Olejnik
MSW, LCSW
Megan Olejnik is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Aurora University. With a diverse clinical background, Megan has a passion for connecting with people from all walks of life. This is encouraged by her experience working with a broad range of clients, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, children and families involved with DCFS, and women navigating perinatal, postpartum, and fertility challenges.
Megan’s professional journey includes significant roles as a former board member of NAMI Northern Illinois and as a founding member of PFLAG Rockford, where she advocated for the LGBTQ+ community. She is committed to providing compassionate care, specializing in women’s issues, trauma, and anxiety disorders.
In her practice, Megan emphasizes the importance of the client-therapist connection, believing that comfort and a strong therapeutic bond are essential for effective therapy. Her collaborative approach is tailored to meet each client where they are, ensuring a personalized path to healing and growth. She fosters a casual, relaxed environment in her practice, which helps clients feel comfortable and open during their therapeutic journey. Megan enjoys encouraging open and authentic conversation meaning clients can expect a real and down-to-earth approach.
Outside of her professional life, Megan enjoys spending quality time with her boyfriend, Ryan, as well as her friends, family, and her two dogs and three cats. She also enjoys crocheting, reading, watching bad reality TV, and relaxing by the pool.
